Surviving the heat at Disney World!!

We leave on Friday for our week trip to Disney!!  There is just one thing I am worried about......heat!! It is going to be hot, hot, hot!  Here are the items we will have with us to help with the heat.

1- Stroller fan- Strollers get HOT. Especially our Bob Jogger while the shade umbrella is down.
2- Froggtoggs cooling towels- These things are amazing!! Find a water fountain, get them wet, ring out and enjoy!!! Put them on your neck or anywhere that is uncomfortably hot. We cut them in half length wise so you get 4 not 2 :) they are plenty big!
3- Sunscreen and Chapstick with SPF- This is obvious but who wants to ruin your vacation with a burn?!
4- Sunglasses- protect your guys guys!
5- Spray fan-  sometimes a little splash of water on the face makes all the difference.
6- Water, water and more water!!!

Kona Island, Hawaiian Shaved Ice

So I have been dreaming of Hawaiian Shaved ice since I had it in Hawaii, at a place called Matsumoto Shaved ice.  It was AMAZING!!!  It had the most delicious ice cream on the bottom, and the shaved ice is the finest shaved ice, it was almost the texture of snow.   So I am not expecting to be like that because Matsumotos is something I am afraid can't be replaced....... BUT according to the Disney Food Blog this shaved ice is the fine texture I am talking about!!!

You can find this treat at the Polynesian Resort at the Kona Island Sushi bar.  It is right next to the Kona Cafe, which is an amazing restaurant.  We leave in 11 days, but who's counting :)

Best package ever!!

For you fellow Disney goers and new timers, I think you can understand the excitement of Disney Mail!!  First its the welcome email, then the dates to remember book, then the memory maker pamphlet comes and then............ THE BANDS!!!  I actually wasn't expecting the package to come so soon, so when it came I thought it was actually something Justin ordered and didn't open it till that night!! So to my surprise it was our bands!! I might of done a little happy dance in the Kitchen.

Of all the many, many, things this thing does, I think my favorite is the opening of your room door and your ticket is my favorite. You can have a hand full of stuff and all you have to do is tap the door and magic.  Not sure why it seems so simple but not having to open your backpack and collect everyones cards to put them back in their secure place is nice.  I guess its the little things for me :)

You may ask what does it do??

1- Its your room key!  That's right no more searching for your room key, with just a tap of the band on the door and tada, it's open!!

2- Its your tickets! So again no search for your ticket and trying to get everything back in it's place before you set off to your destination.  ;)

3- You can pay with it.  What I like is that it asks for your password before you're able to purchase anything. So no one can just use it.  We always bring cash on vacation so this at first wasn't that big of a deal to me since I wasn't using a credit card/debit card.  But you can pay it off at the concierges desk the night before you check out!!  You can also continue to charge things to it till midnight the day you check out as long as you are fine with it being charged to the card on file.

4-Fast Passes-  You book all your fast passes on your My Disney Experience account on phone or computer, but they are saved on the band.  So again you tap the Mickey head to the Mickey head and tada!!

5- Dining Plan- All your dining credits on here.  It tells you on your receipt how many credits you have left but with a tap of the Mickey head and password you can use a credit.

6- Memory Maker-  It tracks where you are and links your ride photos and videos to your account!!  It also links whatever picture a photo pass person takes of you to your My Disney Experience account so you can see them the next day!!

If I think of anything else this cool thing does I will update this post!!!

Mickey Waffles

I know this doesn't even come close to the real Mickey Waffles but these will do.

We prefer Krusteaz Light and Crispy Belgian waffle mix. They are a little sweet, light and yummy!!  I will have to post the recipe we have tried from scratch that is suppose to compare to the real deal. We usually top these with strawberries and whip cream, but these were kind of last minute and unplanned :)

McKenna ripped off the ears and handed them to me and ate the face! Funny girl heehee

Introduction to All Day Every Day Disney Girl......

Let me take a minute and introduce myself, and why my blog is called All Day Every Day Disney.  Well I have a slight obsession with Disney World and about anything that Disney does. I am also a Travel Agent that books Disney trips on the side.  I work for Castles and Dreams Travel and have really just booked for people I know, but am try to now extend my business.  So I thought why not make a blog about it and that would be a good outlet for my Disney obsession.  People already know me as the crazy Disney girl so why not just go along with it!!!   I named it All Day Every Day Disney because there is not a day that goes by that I don't talk, think, search something Disney.  I wasn't always this way, it was something that started after my second trip to Disney World, as an adult I should say.  I went to Disneyland when I was a kid/early teen 3 times.  Then I moved to the east coast, got married and went with my husbands family in 2006 to Disney World.  We had fun but I knew I wanted to go again just me and hubs.  So we did the next year in 2007 and had a blast!!!! We stayed at Pop Century did the dining plan, park hoppers and the whole nine yards and had so much fun, we have gone back every year, sometimes twice since then and the best part is now we get to experience it with our crazy, fun almost 3 year old girl!!!

So I plan on having lots of tips, recipes, reviews, and everyday Disney stuff right here on my blog!!!

We are leaving in 19 days, for a week long trip to the Wilderness Lodge resort, for our first (large) group family vacation! That's right my mom, step dad, 2 younger sisters and nephew.  Along with my step dad's brother, his wife and son.  The fun part is that they are from Iran, and haven't been to United States and they have NO clue what is in store for them!!  They asked my step dad "What are we going to do in Disney World for 5 DAYS"!!!!!

So get ready to experience the fun through there eyes :)
